Quiet of the Morning

Psalm 143:8; 10
Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning;
For I trust in You;
Teach me the way in which I should walk;
For to You I lift up my soul. 

Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. 


I love these two verses.  I am usually a morning person, as long as I have had some quiet time when I get up.  I love the quiet mornings, that are cool and the sun is just coming up.  I sit quietly and listen for God.  I listen to him in nature, the bird's song, the rustling of the trees branches as the wind gently moves by, and by the stillness of the air.  I read my devotion and try and let his teachings ground me, so I am not off kilter. But it doesn't have to be in the morning.  It can be by drawing a picture, listening to music, lighting a candle, whatever you do to listen to God, don't forget to do it!
